often i sit in cold silence, staring at random snowflakes fall from the sky … leaving the comforts of the clouds for the rocky roads below.  stuttering often feels like that.  falling from the sky in peace and harmony till you hit that road below …  jarring you awake … till someone scrapes you off …

fighting, scraping through, overcome a million hardships a day … digging ever deeper into some fountain of hope, prayer and permission to come free …

the mental blocks it throws up are often harder to overcome than the speech itself … words may sprout forth but

mind your waves

waves crash ashore

pebbles disturbed

the hurried feet of children play

as shores come alive again

words stuck come alive

hidden sun

the sun shines beneath dark clouds

rays hidden their brilliance swayed

i dont mean what i say – i dont say what i mean

halter hither, dither death words hinder a mind’s matter words dont matter when winds sway flow of words follow meanings meander intention distorted words anew surrender words i say i dont mean and words i say i dont mean

peace within

no man should die a peaceless death

no prince sh0uld live in a pauper’s palace

no child should be fed from a barren stove

peace within when the soul surrenders

peace within when the mind released from fear’s grip

peace within when words wounded are words wonder

peace within, peace within, peace within

On today’s con-call

January 5, 2010

The team was brainstorming ideas for marketing our February event … my mind was screaming an idea a minute (nothing new there!) but as has happened in the past the speech brakes screeched to a dreaded halt.  Frustrating is a word that comes to mind … helpless is another … sad.  Another missed opportunity to show and share ideas and insights simply cos He decided that I ought to come to town with the dreaded brakes…

Sometimes you struggle to get your words out … your mind locked in a ceaseless battle with itself, not sure which way the words will fall or flow.  Stuttering Days is my personal diary of … well stuttering days.  This blog is primarily a route for self-discovery and self-introspection … I welcome others in the ‘stuttering community’ to share comments, experiences and insights …

Some days are bright, Others brighter
